Obsession with Youth

Ever notice how ‘twinks‘ is such a popular niche in the adult industry? I mean there has to be at least 100 sites, devoted to twinks, for every other type of site out there, other than maybe BDSM.  So how come us old queens are so obsessed with the beauty of young men eighteen to twenty two?

Are we trying to recapture our own youth, by lusting after today’s sexy young twinks, or is it something else?

I know back in the day, it was about virility and ensuring the bloodline was continued, hence the desire for youth, but today with all that is available from medical science, that would seem a bit outdated. And how it would apply to us Queers, is well, problematic.  Not like we are going to reproduce.  So what is it, that has chasing all these sexy twinks?

Even in television and movies, there is a hidden reference to youth. Usually some old geezer chasing a pretty young thing, or the actors are shown as being younger than they are. Parts for the more Senior actors/actresses seems rather slim. Then too, just look at how huge the cosmetic industry is, with its face creams, surgeries, all designed to make us look younger, feel younger.

Is it a fear of being old, of our own rapidly approaching mortality?

I am nearly 55, and the wife just turned 32, a few months back, so I am a fine one to talk. Though truth is, he chased me and I guess, he’s not what you would call normal, as he obviously likes his men OLD.

So why? What is it about us old farts lusting after young hot sexy twinks?
